Intake Installation Instructions
These are a general guideline for installing the intake on the 302 and 351W manifolds The 429 and 460 manifolds are very similar.
Use just a bit of spray adhesive on the head and gasket to keep them exactly in place while installing the manifold.
Use a very thin layer of silicone around the water jacket holes, the key word is very thin.

Place the gaskets on the heads. Press in place so they are centered over each port. Notice how thin the silicone is around the water jacket.
Lay a 3/8" bead of silicone down the front a rear valley wall instead of the cork seals.
Torque the manifold in steps to 8, 15 and 22 ft/lbs of torque to walk the manifold into position using the following pattern.
Keep going around the pattern retorquing to 22 ft pounds until the bolts stop turning at 22 ft lbs.
Install injectors and throttle cable.
